Nothing is more festive than the beauty and fragrance of fresh evergreens! I love to drape western red cedar garlands across the front of my home’s entry, sometimes with lights added — that natural, homey style is just the look I’m going for with my holiday decorating. I add cedar garlands across the top of my deck railing as well – it is fun to watch the birds inspect it!
And then it is time for the tree. This is a central part of our family tradition. Almost every ornament has a story or memory associated with it, so the simple act of trimming the tree becomes a wonderful walk down memory lane. We choose a fresh tree, of course, because we love the fragrance inside our home as well as outside!
Farmington Gardens is your Holiday Headquarters for the freshest holiday greens. We have an abundant inventory of freshly-cut trees in four types: Noble Fir, Douglas Fir, Grand Fir, and Nordmann Fir, and vary in height from 3 feet to 12 feet or more. You will find wreaths and garlands, as well as bulk greens for your own creations. If you are interested in a living tree, either for a container or for your garden, we have a large variety of those as well.
Let us help you choose the perfect tree while you enjoy cookies and cider!

Giving feels great, doesn’t it? Some of my most memorable holiday shopping experiences have been when I’m buying a gift for a child I don’t even know. I hope you too have had that kind of fun. If not, try it out – head to the store and find something special for a child who might otherwise not have anything to open on Christmas morning.

No time like the present for a little holiday inspiration! Mary Ludlum will present ideas for easy projects with an earthy garden focus. After Mary’s cool ideas, you will be itching to pull on your garden clogs, grab your clippers and your imagination and gather the ingredients for centerpieces, wreaths, and gifts. You too can be the Martha Stewart of your family!
